  • VP Sarah Palin- A stroke of Genius

    August 29th, 2008

The American Hating, Bitter, Intolerant, Democratic National Convention has come to an end. So sad isn't it? Ok- not really.  Nothing new was presented. It was the usual worn out  class warfare nonsense with a little "Bush Lied Kids Died" rhetoric thrown in for good measure. Not to worry though, the grown ups,the Republicans, will be holding their own convention next week.

In other news today, Senator John McCain announced his Vice Presidential running mate Sarah Palin, the Conservative Republican Governor of Alaska. The choice is sure to placate most conservatives. The editors are thrilled with the selection. She is pro-life , an NRA member, and a tax cutter.

The Palin pick achieves three goals for the McCain camp. It highlights Obama's  scarce experience. The libs are already claiming Palin lacks experience.  Well she has two more years of executive experience than Obama does and she is three years younger than him. Is it a problem if the Republican's VP candidate is more qualified for the Presidency than the Democtat's Presidential candidate? We welcome this debate.  Secondly, it brings someone to the ticket who is Not a Washington insider. Unlike Obama who selected  Joe Biden. Old Joe's been in Washington for thirty five years. Is that change you can believe in? Or is that just Washington as usual? The third and most obvious reason is it helps McCain with women voters and attracts Hillary supporters and independents. Finally and most importantly, Palin  wasn't wearing some crummy old Clitonista pantsuit.-God Bless Her!

  • the left & their high school mentality

    July 21st, 2008

Barry Hussein Obama is scheduled to be vacationing in the Middle East this week. If his advance team is worth their salt, he'll be lucky enough to dodge some sniper fire once he deplanes. It will be an experience Hillary will envy. Three news anchors; (a.k.a. Obama's press secretaries) Brian Williams, Charlie Gibson, and Katie Couric will be traveling with the messiah. Senator McCain having made three foriegn trips in the past four months traveled with zero news anchors -Thank God for media bias.

Even before Senator McCain forced the messiah to embark on his Mideast junket, it has become prevalent for the mainstream media and liberal politicians to whine of America's damaged reputation in the world. It is astounding to see liberals embrace a High School mentality  regarding  foriegn affairs. Geo-politics is not a tool to gain favor with the rest of the world. As we've mentioned on these pages before, the world is dangerous place. The job of the Bush administration, or any administration is make decisions based on what is in our best interest. The left is more concerned with making other countires"like" us more. They will capitulate to anything ,concede anything, or would appease anyone, to win some imaginary world popularity contest-Scary.  It means so much to them. These left wingers are the equivalent  to high school kids trying  to increase their popularity. As most of us know -post high school,  your popularity doesn't get you very far. The United States is the only country in the world, that when acting in its own self interest, is labeled arrogant.

Domestically, the libs don't care about the reputation of our country. This is evidenced by them being perfectly content on letting Bill Clinton turn the White House into a Whore House. They were ok with that.  As far as Obama and his cronies are concerned, we don't see them getting their GED's anytime soon.

  • District of Columbia v. Heller: A 5-4 decision?

    July 3rd, 2008

The recent Supreme Court decision finding the D.C gun ban unconstitutional is as disturbing as it is gratifying. The second amendment states the following:  " A well regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed".

The disturbing part of the decision is the fact that 4,  f-o-u-r,  Supreme court justices dissented from the majority opinion written by Justice Scalia. These are supposedly some of the best legal minds in the country? We don't think so. Not by a long shot. If they can not get this one right they should think about another line of work. The meaning of the second amendment, in our humble opinion, (plus anyone with a 4th grade education)  is crsytal clear. Perhaps because this right is actually in the constitution , the four Supreme bozos were thrown for a loop. We can only wonder. Individual citizens have the right to own firearms to protect themselves and their families. This also proves that we as a nation are one Supreme court justice away from a kangaroo court.

A militia, is comprised of citizen soldiers that are called into action in an emergency. A militia is not a standing army. When called upon men would place their daily lives on hold, grab their guns, and go fight. Without individual gun owners, there would be no militia.

Our founding fathers knew how important gun ownership was in preserving all of our other rights. As we approach the the two hundred and thirty second celebration of our great country's Declaration of Independence, we provide the readers with some quotes that leave no ambiguity as to the meaning of the second amendment. Happy B'day U.S.A !!

"I ask, Sir, what is the militia? It is the whole people. To disarm the people is the best and most effectual way to enslave them."
    George Mason
    Co-author of the Second Amendment
during Virginia's Convention to Ratify the Constitution, 1788

"Firearms stand next in importance to the constitution itself. They are the American people's liberty teeth and keystone under independence … from the hour the Pilgrims landed to the present day, events, occurences and tendencies prove that to ensure peace security and happiness, the rifle and pistol are equally indispensable … the very atmosphere of firearms anywhere restrains evil interference — they deserve a place of honor with all that's good."
    George Washington
First President of the United States

"To preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of the people always possess arms and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them."
    Richard Henry Lee
    American Statesman, 1788

"What country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance. Let them take arms."
    Thomas Jefferson
    to James Madison

  • Murtha Owes more than an apology to haditha marines

    June 24th, 2008
Democratic Representative Jack Murtha threw his fellow marines under the bus a couple of years ago . For what? Political expediency. It is an all too common feature of today's Democratic party. As long as they can promote themselves and greedily claim credit when non is deserved, they are quite satisfied and impressed with themselves. The Democrats convictions and beliefs change as often as the tides.

On Nov. 19th 2005 a group of United States Marines were in a battle for their lives in the Iraqi town of Haditha. One of their vehicle's was blown up by a roadside bomb along with one of their buddies. They were in a war zone taking on sniper fire. The gunman were shooting from rooftops and moving from house to house. The marines proceeded to hunt them down busting down doors in an effort to kill them. That is what marines do-kill. They happen to be good at it.  Twenty four "civilians" wound up dead in one of these houses.Representative Jack Murtha believes these so called civilians were killed in cold blood by a few marines just letting off a little steam. In reality only 15 were civilians. The terrorists use innocents as cover or more commonly 'human shields".

Jack Murtha (D) Pa. led the charge of the “ Blame America First” crowd to accuse our marines of murdering civilians in cold blood before any investigation took place. Murtha said the following regarding the incident: Our troops overacted because of the pressure on them and they killed innocent civilians in cold blood,". The mainstream media was quick to follow suit, salivating at the opportunity to condem our marines as war criminals, without a shred of evidence and before an investigation concluded.  It was front page news in the New York Times. Keith Olberman  and his commy buddies over at  MSNBC immediately joined the guilty before proven innocent crowd.

How the tides have turned on Rep Murtha and his America hating, lose at all costs cohorts. The marines that fought at Hadith that fateful day have been exonerated. The charges against them have been dismissed, some were aquitted. One marine's trial has been postponed.  Was this news plastered all over the front page of the New York Times? Were follow up stories done weeks on end decribing the life destryoing ordeal these marines and their families had to suffer through? No, not at all. Being an American hating left wing zealot means never having to say your sorry.

The tactics of the left continue to cause casualties in Iraq. Our enemies are well aware of the absurdity of our rules of engagement  and use them against us .  Do our troops have to second guess themselves everytime they pull the trigger? Fearfull of being dragged before the media and accused of war crimes? Thats no way to fight a war. You either kill or get killed. War is not pretty- people die.  Preferably more of their guys than ours.  Should the Haditha Marines have knocked on those doors and  asked "Mr. terrorist  come out come out wherever you are"?

There are 3 Navy Seals that might be alive today had it not been for the Anit-American left wing politicians in Washington. They are Lt. Michael P. Murphy petty officers -- Matthew G. Axelson, and Danny P. Dietz. They, along with Petty Officer Marcus Luttrell were deployed in Operation Redwing. Their mission was to kill an Afgani bomb maker. All four were stealthly hidden on a mountainside in Afganistan when three Afgani shepards, two men and 14 year old boy,  (plus a herd of sheep) stumbled upon them. There was silence. The Afgani's stared at the Americans with a look of hatred that words can't describe. The Seals had a decision to make . Kill these innocents for fear that they would tell the Taliban of their whereabouts and ruin their mission or let them go and hope they remain quite. Their instincts told them to kill them. Fear of being dragged up before a congressional committee and charged with war crimes led them to make a deadly mistake. Luttrell is the only one who survived to tell about it. We highly encourage you go to the Recommended Reading section of this site and check out his first hand account in "Lone Survivor".  War and political correctness , like oil and water don't mix. In fact, mixing war and political correctness can be quite deadly. We strongly urge against it.

  • Ortiz V. Yudin & the  Bergen County republican chairman's race

    June 16th, 2008

Much to our amazement here at the Consortium, there are actually two men  competing to head the train wreck commonly referred to as the Bergen County Republican Organization. The vote is tomorrow night. It is important to note before we go any further that the organization is barely Republican and is hardly organized. The two candidates are current chairman Rob Ortiz  from Ridgewood and challenger Bob Yudin from Wyckoff.

Rob Ortiz came out of nowhere about ten months ago.  To our knowledge, Rob Ortiz was largely an un-known entity to those who were active on County Committee . He was some big money man for George W. Bush. He was the flavor of the month for the establishment folks. Party Crashers as we call them. The same ones who supported Estabrook, then Unanue and currently Zimmer for Senate.

Since  his election Mr. Ortiz has essentially written the book on what not to do if you are elected BCRO chairman.  His first lesson was that raising money for a sitting President of the United States and for a bunch of local out of power Republican candidates are two starkly different tasks. Ortiz proceeded to unilaterally put the organizations support behind the now failed presidential bid of Rudy Giuliani.  Then there was his personal recruitment and advocacy of the  disastrous Andy Unanue for the United States Senate. This recruitment occured after his county committee had voted and put their support behind N.J. State Senator Joe Pennachio. Ortiz even traveled the state and campaigned on Unanue's behalf. These actions screamed of  contempt and arrogance for his county committee members. He never appeared to reach out to the rank and file , never attended many functions or club meetings. He showed a lack of interest and desire to forge the personal relationships necessary to be a successful chairman. He remains largely unknown through every fault of his own. We don't know if he was getting bad advice from inexperienced people or he was just too inexperienced himself to know any better.  Mr. Ortiz alienated himself from the organization and failed to build a solid base of support at the grassroots level.

Bob Yudin has worked the County Committee organization for  years and is very well known throughout the Bergen County Republican Organization. As a candidate for Bergen County Freeholder he has earned the  trust and respect of the rank and file members the old fashioned way- through hard work. One main difference between Yudin and Ortiz is motivational. Yudin wants the chairmanship to improve and strengthen the Republican Party in Bergen County. Mr. Ortiz  wants to improve and strengthen his own lot. He put his ego ahead of the organization and in the words of Vice President Dick Cheney, he got burned "Big Time".

  • The Surge is Working - an inconvenient truth

    June 4th, 2008

The Mainstream Media refuses to report that President Bush's  surge strategy  is working. In the media, good news is no news  when it comes to  Iraq. There were 19 U.S. military deaths and 505 Iraqi civilian deaths this past May, the lowest death toll since the U.S. invasion in 2003. The U.S. Ambassador to Iraq, Ryan Crocker,  said that al Qaeda's network in the country has never been closer to defeat .He praised Prime Minister Nouri al -Maliki for his efforts to rein in Shiite and Sunni militant groups.Conditions on the ground have improved considerably since the beginning of the surge a little over a year ago.

America's failure is the Democrats success. The Democratic leaders have been aiding and abetting the enemy of the United States for some time. This past Thursday the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi had this to say about President Bush's Surge strategy in Iraq " Whatever the military success and any progress that may have been made, the surge didn't accomplish its goal...And some of the success of the surge is that the goodwill of the Iranians-they decided in Basara when the fighting would end, they negotiated that cessation of hostilities-the Iranians".The Iranians? Goodwill? Ah yes, the Death to America, Israel should be wiped off the map, the Holocost never happened, sponsors of terror that are currently killing our soldiers in Iraq-Iranians. This confirms our suspicion that the only reason Plastic Pelosi has ever picked up a newspaper in the past  30 years was to swat a fly. Yet she is third in line to the presidency.

Fellow Democratic Congressman Paul E. Kanjorski of PA.  admitted that Democrats lied about the war in the 2006   elections and the people "ate it up". The Dems have politicized the war for their own political gain.  Remember, they have nothing but their own self interest at heart- our troops and our country be damned. They can not claim credit for victory so the war in Iraq is of no value to them. This poses a huge problem for them in the fall. They'll be doing a tap dancing act around the Iraq war that would make Sammy Davis Jr. jealous.

Hamas, the favorite terrorist group of Jimmy Carter, endorsed Obama for president a few weeks ago. Their political director(nice to see they have one) Ahmed Yousef  said the following: " Actually we like Mr. Obama.  We hope he will win the election". At what point, if your a Democrat, do you step back  and say wait a minute...our enemies our endorsing us, perhaps we're doing something wrong here?  The short answer is never if your a Democrat. Today's Democratic Party are the Tokyo Rose's of our day with people like Senator Dick Durbin, Senator Harry Reid,  Senator Kerry, Nancy Pelosi and countless others making outrageous statements in a time of war. Yet the Democrats always claim they" support the troops". That is nonsense. How can you claim to support the troops and not support their mission?

Like most Americans we here at the Consortium root for the home team. We want to win this war. We are winning this war. Having the finest fighting force to ever walk this earth, we know victory is not probable but inevitable. As far as explaining the behavior of the Anti-American left, radio icon Michael Savage puts it best,  "liberalism is a mental disorder".

  • Memorial Day

    May 26th, 2008

Today we remember and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. They selflessly gave their lives so that we may be free.  Below is a poem that was written by Charles M. Province, Founder and President of The George S. Patten, Jr Historical Society. It has made its way around the internet in years past. Its author has been in dispute. Our researchers here at the Consortium have determined it was Mr. Province who actually wrote it.

It is the Soldier, not the minister
Who has given us freedom of religion.

It is the Soldier, not the reporter
Who has given us freedom of the press.

It is the Soldier, not the poet
Who has given us freedom of speech.

It is the Soldier, not the campus organizer
Who has given us freedom to protest.

It is the Soldier, not the lawyer
Who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is the Soldier, not the politician
Who has given us the right to vote.

It is the Soldier who salutes the flag,
    Who serves beneath the flag,
And whose coffin is draped by the flag,
Who allows the protester to burn the flag.

                                                                     By Charles M. Province

  • California & the taco supremes

    May 21st, 2008

The Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court, John Roberts, described the proper role of a judge succinctly during the opening remarks of his confirmation hearing before congress: "Judges and justices are servants of the law, not the other way around. Judges are like Umpires.  Umpires don't make the rules; they apply them".  California's not so Supreme Court doesn't see it that way. Its no longer three strikes and your out in their ballgame. The laws that govern the game are whatever these derelicts of justice say the are.

Eight years ago, the people of California voted for, and passed, Proposition 22- the Defense of Marriage Act. This referendom  states " Only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in the State of California". Proposition 22 passed with 61.4% of the vote - not a slim margin by any means.  Last week the Taco Supremes arrogantly dismissed the will of the people and their right to make law through initiative and referendum. The Court acted as its own legislative body. In a 4-3 "decision" California's not so Supreme Court, with  power not delegated to it,-overturned the will of the people, side-stepped the state legislature, and legalized Gay marriage in the state of California. Dissenting justice Baxter  had the following to say of his colleague's majority opinion " I cannot join this exercise in legal jujitsu, by which the legislatures own weight is used against it to creat a constitutional right from whole cloth, defeat the peoples will, and invalidate a statute otherwise immune from legislative interference" .

The California. state legislature(Note to tacos: where laws are made) passed laws in favor of Gay Marriage- twice. They sent it to  Governor Schwarzenagger twice, where it was vetoed twice. He vetoed the legislation claiming the voters had spoken on the issue. Indeed they did. Ironically the Governor says he currently respects the decision of the court and will abide by its decision. The governor has stated that he would not support an amendment to the constitution that would overturn the courts ruling.  So much for upholding the will of the people.

Judicial activisim is the modus operandi of the anti family left wingers. Their radical liberal ideology  can not win at the ballot box. They look to activist judges to promote their agenda. They know the American people do not support their extremist anti-family positions  such as gay marriage and abortion on demand.  Last year, N.J. Assemblyman Michael Doherty proposed to place on the ballot, an amendment to the New Jersey constitution defining marriage as only between a man and a woman. To let N.J. voters decide. It fell on deaf ears.

If these radicals are so confident their anti-family agenda is so embraced by the public why not put it on the ballot in November? The issues like Gay Marriage and  Gun Control are ignored by the Democratic  presidential contenders, largely because their positions on them are losing ones and they know it. Conversely,  these issues motivate the conservative Republican base - and we turn out at the polls in droves on election day to defend the institution of Marriage and to protect our gun rights .

The editors at the Consortium believe that the term "Gay Rights" is a misnomer.  Gay people already have and enjoy the same rights everyone else in this country does, as they should. Marriage is not a right but a privledge. There is no "Right" to marriage in the Constitution -we've actually read it numerous times.(other things we have failed to locate are: a right to abortion, the Department of Education, the IRS, the EPA, The Endownment for the Arts,  etc. etc.  but we are determined here at the Consortium so we'll keep reviewing it).

The next President of the the United States will appoint over 200 federal judges and possibly 2 Supreme court justices. Senator McCain has stated he will appoint strict constitutional constructionists to the courts.  It is in our Nation's best interest to make sure Senator McCain is the next president. The next time a conservative gives you a hard time about supporting our moderate Presidential nominee-You can give them over 200 reasons why they should.

  • Imam Qatanani : Respected leader of the Community or Terrorist in our Midst?

    May 14th, 2008

Imam Mohammad Qatanani has been all the rage in the  Bergen Record  . They have been reporting/cheerleading (after all this is the Record) about the ground swell of support that Mr. Q  has been receiving. Hundreds of people from in and around his community, Paterson, have been peacefully protesting outside the  Newark courthouse where his deportation trial is taking place. He has such a good reputation that two Democtatic County Sherrifs Leo Maguire of Bergen and Jerry Speziale of Passaic testified as character witnesses on his behalf. That is right, the two chief law enforcement officers in those counties vouched for the Imam's character. Thats just swell.

According to the Bergen Record the Imam arrived in the U.S. of A. in 1996 on a religious visa. He applied for Permanent residency in 1999.  Mr. Q's application for permanant residency (I-485)  conveniently failed to mention  that he was convicted in an Israeli military  court of being a member of the terrorist group Hamas(Jimmy Carters favorite terrorist group).-WOOPS! Due to that pesky little fact, he was denied citezenship in 2006. Now he and his family may have to return to the ever tranquil Palestinian territories.

The Bergen Record , giving it the old Stockholm syndrome try, wrote:"The defense aimed to challenge federal lawyers portrayal on Thursday of Qatanani as a man with a dark past that included membership in  Hamas, a militant Palistinian group branded as terrorist by the United States."  In an effort to give Hamas  some legitamcy, the Bergen Record clearly tries to soften the blow on Qatanani with the " branded as terrorist by the United States" qualifier. There is no doubt that Hamas is a world renown terrorist group. The Bergen Record is clearly in the tank for Mr. Q.

Much to the dismay of the Qatanani fanclub, this is not a simple oversight on his permanent residency application.  He left his membership in Hamas off his application for a reason. His supporters seem to think this is akin to lying on ones resume. If you lie on your resume the worst that can happen is you get fired. In Imam Mohammed Qatanani's case, the consequenes can be deadly. As we all know, followers of the religion of peace can be extremely patient in their endeavors.  We'd rather not take the chance.

  • Goofy Nick Names

    May 7th, 2008
This past week proved a rather uneventful one as far as New Jersey politics goes. Only one politician was convicted of corruption. The now former Democrat mayor of Gutteneberg, David Delle Donna was convicted of extortion and filing false tax returns. This is shocking news as corruption in Hudson County politics is quite rare.

In other news, the New Jersey primaries for the U.S. Senate seat have been riviting-well not really. Perhaps for the thousand or so N.J. political junkies that read sites like this. Otherwise we at the Consortium are confident no one outside the political class has even a remote idea that there is a primary race underway-Lucky them.  On the Republican side Sabrin and Pennachio keep refering to themselves in  their press releases as 'Jersey Joe" and "Maverick Murray" This leads us to believe they may actually be running to star on the cover of the next Marvel Comic book rather than for the prestigeous United States Senate. That is their choice. The candidates are the ones that have to wake up in the morning , look themselves in the mirror, and live with the decisions that they make. Fortunately Dick Zimmer has not come up with an alliterate nickname for, we hope, obvious reasons. Wonder how long Rove would have lasted if he recommended Bush run for president as Georgy Pour-gee Bush? To date the the Dems haven't devised  any snazi names for their candidates. In the spirit of the Sabrin and Pennachio camps we're offering up  Frank "The Clever Cadaver "Lautenberg. We'll see if it sticks.

  • the arrogance of global warming & "Going Green"

    April 29th, 2008

Well another Earth Day has come and gone-seems  like just yesterday we were gassing up the ole S.U.V.  burning lumps of coal and throwing gum wrappers on the ground celebratng earth day 2007. Like Vice President Dick Cheney, we at the Consortium believe the earth is getting warmer. We call it Spring. In that respect it is going to get much warmer before it gets cooler.

It ain't easy being green. Just ask "do as I say not as I do" AL Gore. Al is the cult leader of the greeniacs.  Al wants us to conserve energey cut back on driving and flying and alter our lifstyles to re-duce our carbon footprint. A carbon footprint is a measure of the impact human activities have on the environment in terms of the amount of green house gasses produced, measured in units of carbon dioxide. Al Gore has a carbon footprint that would dwarf that of a sasquatch. He has a 20 room home in Tennessee that uses more than 20 times the amount of energy than the  average American household. Al also criss crosses the country in a private jet when he preaches to the greeniacs.  Al can live a life of leisure and we must live in caves in order to fully embrace the green agenda.

Environmental extremists have hamstrung all aspects of our energy policy and for that we suffer.Things we can not do that would be beneficial to being energy self sufficient include but are not limitted to: building  new nuclear power plants, building new oil refineries, and drilling for oil off our coast and in ANWR where known oil deposits exist in mass quantities. All the aforementioned items have been halted or hinderd by environmental extremists and left wing politicians that promote the green agenda.

This (and the laws of supply and demand)is the reason gasoline prices will continue to soar and oil will be selling for close to $200 a barrel by the end of the Summer.  Congress in all its wisdom has made it un-profitable for the private sector to even consider producing energy. If it weren't for  the  burdensome rules and regulations it would be the hundreds of lawsuites from multiple save the planet types that would thwart any investment in such projects. Now we are stuck with corn. Corn as an alternative energy source has failed miserably. Setting aside almost a third of our corn production to make fuel has  not only sparked a food shortage in the third world countries but ,along with the increase in fuel prices, drives up the cost of our most common foodstuffs.

We at the Consortium believe in being good stewards of our environment. Not many people are in favor of dirty oceans, streams, water, and air. We support reasonable business/people friendly measures to preserve our environment. Unfortunately, "going green"  translates into  the American Taxpayers forking over more of their own green ($$) to support a radical environ-mental agenda. The belief that our actions have the ability to destroy the planet is ludicrous.  Ask the folks in Virginia, whose homes and neighborhoods were  wiped out in a matter of minutes by tornadoes, if they feel like a threat to the planet this week.

  • Jimmy Carter & The logan act

    April 21st, 2008

The 39th president of these United States, our very own "useful idiot" known publicly as Jimmy Carter, visited the Middle East this past week. Jimmy met with various leaders of the religion of peace. As far as we can tell this is Jimmy's best effort to try and circumvent the Bush administration's policies. Prior to the former president's(current useful idiot) departure it became known that  Carter was going to meet with the leaders of the Islamo facist terrorist network called Hamas. The Bush administration tried its best to disuade him to no avail-Off went Jimmy to the land of tranquility on no one's authority but his own.

Hamas is responsible for the deaths of thousands of innocent women and children who were going about their business when one of these miscreants blew themselves up and killed or maimed them in the process. They currently fire rockets indiscriminantly into Israel on a daily basis. Their goal is the complete  destruction of Israel. Carter was asked if he would ever  meet with Al Qaeda. His Response? "No of course not. I don't see any redeeming features of Al Qaeda at all". At least ole Jimmy still has vision. So, more disturbingly, the useful idiot(and that is an insult to idiots everywhere) finds redeeming features in Hamas.

The United States does have a law  for dealing with  rogue treasonous activities of former presidents and officials who still think they are relevant on the world stage . Its called the Logan Act. Congress authored the  Logan Act  in 1799 during the Adams administration. It was named after a prominant Republican at the time, Dr. George Logan. Dr. Logan went over to France ,not as an authorized agent of the United States governement, but on his own authority. He attempted to smooth over a dispute caused by a French trade embargo.  The Logan Act makes it a crime for a citizen to  consult with foriegn governments against the interests of the United States without authorization. Violation of this law carries with it a fine and three years imprisionment.

The Logan Act,  much to the editors dismay , has never been used. The Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi also violated this law when she went to Syria last year. It would be wise to start enfocing this law or make the threat of invoking it to anyone who may be considering such trips in the future. Having Jimmy Carter and Nancy Pelosi interfereing in the administrations foriegn policy not only undermines it  but makes us look foolish. The world is a dangerous place and in the realm of foriegn policy the United States needs to speak with one voice. That should be George W. Bush. He's the guy who got elected.

  •  These are not "just words"

    April 14th, 2008

If you recall, back in mid- February of this year Barry Hussein Snob-ama plagerized a speech deliverd by the governor of Massachusetts Deval Patrick. The one where he rambled off a bunch of phrases from the Constitution and followed them  with a "These are not just words".  Here are some words Senator Snob-ama said at a fundraiser in ultra liberal San Francisco regarding the folks in small town PA (read any small town in the U.S.A.) : "And its not suprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as away to explain their frustrations."

Every now and again these libs slip up and let you know how they really feel. The sentiments expressed by Snob-ama are prevalent throughout the Democratic party. They for the most part, are arrogant elitist that have nothing but disdain and contempt for the American people. They know whats best. Libs are in politics for their own power the rest of us be damned . Ronald Reagan used to say" Democrats are fine folks, well intentioned, they just happen to be mistaken is all". This no longer holds true.  Patting temselves on the back and enriching their socialist friends is the only thing that matters(see the NJ Democratic Party for numerous examples). Just like Communist China, the Democrats fear the people and don't trust them to do what is best for themselves or their country. Liberals believe people are something that must be suppressed in society. The people do not know any better and are incapable of helping themselves. Liberals place their trust and faith in governement. Thank God(oops their we go again clinging on to religion) Snob-ama and Hillary are here to save us.

At the other end of the spectrum we conservatives know that America's strength and greatness is derived from its people. We(the people) created this government- it didn't create us.  We at the CC view "Small town PA" as being comprised of hard working, God fearing citizens who take the liberty of excercising their second amendment right to keep and bear arms. These are people who respect the rule of law. Small town PA does not pick and choose which laws it wants follow . People who come here illegally put numerous strains on our economy and put our citizen's lives at risk. In short we at the CC believe if a Catholic happens to  pick up his shotgun to kill an illegal alien who broke into his home to rape and pillage- well- we don't have  a real problem with that. Snob-ama does.  We're sure he'd try to negotiate. Hope he's bilingual.

Beware this Snob-ama fellow. In one quote he revealed how he dispises everything that this country stands for and everything that has or ever will make this country great. That is the everyday people that comprise the United States of America from sea to shining sea. Snob-ama was correct in his February address because these:"And its not suprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as away to explain their frustrations."  are not just words. If this America hater becomes president be afraid be very afraid.

  • Charlton Heston October 4th 1923- April 6th 2008 R.i.p.

    April 7th, 2008

It was a bittersweet day yesterday as a champion of our constitutional right to bear arms Charlton Heston, bid his final farewell to this world. He was unrelenting in his defense of the second amendment. We hope you take a few minutes to read a speech Mr. Heston  delivered at Harvard University on Feruary 16th, 1999. It serves as a window into the man we knew as head of the N.R.A. It is, in our humble opinion, a testimony to his charcter, his decency and his values. The end of a true class act indeed- R.I.P.

On the sweet side of things- The New Jersey Establishment Republicans (Party Crashers) took one more giant leap past irrelavance as Mr. John Crowley, who much to his credit, decided not to run for the U.S. Senate.  The Party Crashers are in the unique position of  having to support their night club owning, family fired, convicted drunkin driver-Andy Unanue. He will be thier standard bearer in the New Jersey Republican Primary contest. If there is anyone who depicts the state of the Party Crashers at this time it is Andy Unanue. It just doesn't get much better than this folks. Sit back relax and watch them crash. Eddie Murphy will be back in vogue as the Unanue team picks their theme song 'Party All the Time".  They wanted money, they got money. We'll see where it gets them. Not far in our estimation.

This just in...please be advised there are rumors flying about that the Party Crashers have reached out to MA. Senator Ted Kennedy to serve on the Unanue Steering committee. Please check back with the CC as frequently as possible for updates as Mr Unanue may or may not be doing some off-road riding.

    -Cheers

  • Mis-Spoke Re-Defined

    March 30th, 2008

If you're like the editors at the Consortium you spent most of your weekend dodging sniper fire. (oops we miss -wrote, please forgive us - we're just typical white people). If you've been following the news this past week you already know that Hillary mis spoke. Yes, our future Commander in Chief wannabe claimed she was ducking sniper fire in Bosnia back in the mid 90's. When the media failed to take her word for it she was appalled. Due to such things as facts and overwhelming evidence to the contrary, Hillary was forced to admit she "mis-spoke".

This should not be a big deal. Politicians mis-speak all the time. This however, involves the Clintons. The editors at the CC seem to have a different understanding of the term "mis- spoke " than that of the Clintons . We thought it meant confusing similar sounding words when speaking. They may even sound similiar but have opposite meaning. Such as saying;  Iraq instead of Iran, Shia instead Sunni, or Islam instead of religion of peace-things of that nature. In order to follow the rest of the election cycle we have taken the liberty to redefine the term should it rear its ugly head .Please note that this is only as it applies to liberal Democrats. Republicans would never be able to get away with such nonsense nor would they try too.  mis- spoke:1. verb, to completly make shi. up 2.  a total fabrication of reality-see the term "Clintons" for further obsfuscation 3. story telling, anything starting with-Once upon a time .

The aforementioned definition is interchangeable and can be applied to anyhthing that comes out of the Sillary or Obama campaigns. Liberalism, after all, is based on lies.

  • New Jersey Republican Senate primary

    03/25/08

    Here We Go Again

Cherry(bean) Picked MillionairE Anointed by the P.C.Crew

Well it looks like the P.C. crew   have risen from the dead this past Easter Sunday. The P.C.'ers have been furiously hunting down a moderate multi-millionaire candidate that could self finance his own senatorial campaign. Hunting is usually frowned upon by the P.C.'ers -in this instance they made an exception. Some people in the party, Party Crashers, have been telling him what a great idea it is for him to run for U.S Senate in the once great state of New Jersey.  As usual, they found a candidate foolish enough to believe them. They found  Andy(No-Way) Unanue formerly of Goya Foods. It'll be a week or two before this guy realizes what he just stepped in(maybe more- he is currently on vacation). One has to wonder about a guy who's own family canned him.

Anyway, the P.C. soldiers,  affectionatley referred to as "lemmings" at the Conservative Consortium are flailing about in a tizzy of excitement. These folks include but are not limitted to most of the Republicans County Chairs and their respective county committee members(  for further clarification please  look up the term "useless" ).  They got their fiberdaddy. They don't know him. They don't know what he stands for if anything. They are all too willing to vote for him come primary day.Watch as the Boya from Goya starts winning the upcomming county conventions hand over fist. Conversely we don't know much about him either. We do know he was fired from Goya by his own family and accused in a court of law of showing up drunk on the job.  Given the P.C. history we are not expecting much from this character. We could be wrong but probably not.

There are two other candidates in the Republican Primary for Senate. Murry Sabrin and State Senator Joe Pennachio. These two actually have experience, positions on isses and are familiar with the science of campaigning.  We are supporting Murray Sabrin for Senate(suprise suprise). The P.C only care about one thing and that is $$. Yes you need it to win. It is nice to have but there are other parts of the campaign equation that leads to victory. Raising money is hard.Even harder for out of power Republicans. It can be done but not by the P.C crew. There are two thing  the P.C. lemmings etc. never do. First never ever under any circumstances ask them to work hard or at all for that matter. Secondly never feed them after midnight.
